The practical questions
Understanding residential solar.
01Can solar power my home during a grid outage?
A conventional grid-connected inverter shuts down during an outage. Backup requires a compatible hybrid or off-grid design, appropriate batteries and safe circuit isolation. A survey must confirm the right arrangement.
02How much roof space will I need?
Our planning tool uses 100 square feet per kW as a rough allowance. Actual layout depends on shading, roof access, panel dimensions, tilt and structural checks.
Project journal
Evidence, when it’s ready.
Verified residential solar project case studies are awaiting publication. No sample installation is presented as completed work.
