Agricultural solar

Sunlight, put to work on the land.

Learn what goes into sizing solar for daytime pumping and agricultural operations, from water requirements to motor compatibility.

Planning guide · This category is awaiting business confirmation as an RJ SOLARS offering. Any availability, scope, equipment or pricing must be confirmed in a written proposal.

Start with a system
that makes sense for you.

Farm owners assessing daytime irrigation, pump duty cycles and site access.

Available space is only part of the picture. Daily electricity use, shading, electrical infrastructure and backup priorities should shape every planning conversation.

  • Review pumping hours and water demand
  • Check motor and drive compatibility
  • Plan for seasonal operation
  • Consider security and maintenance access

A considered approach

From your first question to a clearer plan.

01

Start with your story

Your bill, your space and what you want your energy to do.

02

Understand the site

Roof conditions, shade and electrical requirements shape the plan.

03

Consider the design

Review a clear system proposal, equipment and written scope.

04

Plan the next chapter

Confirm installation, commissioning and support before proceeding.

The practical questions

Understanding agricultural solar.

01Can I size a solar pump from my electricity bill alone?

No. Pump motor rating, head, water volume, seasonal demand and drive compatibility are essential. The calculator is only a first energy estimate and does not size irrigation equipment.

02Do solar pumps need batteries?

Some daytime pumping arrangements operate without batteries, but suitability depends on the control system, water storage and operating requirements. A technical assessment is necessary.

Project journal

Evidence, when it’s ready.

Verified agricultural solar project case studies are awaiting publication. No sample installation is presented as completed work.
