Your solar estimate, explained.

A useful first estimate begins with your usage. Here is what the numbers can—and cannot—tell you.

General planning information. This guide is not a site design, electrical instruction, tariff notice or financial promise. Confirm site-specific details with qualified professionals.

Start with energy, not just the bill

Monthly units (kWh) are a more useful input than the rupee total. Bills can include taxes, fixed charges and adjustments. If units are unknown, dividing a bill by an entered indicative rate is only a rough proxy.

Understand the assumptions

Our calculator estimates monthly generation as capacity × 4.5 peak sun hours × 0.78 performance ratio × 30 days. These are illustrative design assumptions, not measured output for your property. Weather, shade, roof orientation and equipment change the result.

Separate generation from savings

Generated electricity only creates avoided-import savings when it replaces electricity you would otherwise buy. We apply your selected self-consumption percentage and cap avoided energy at estimated monthly use. We do not assign a value to exports.

Move from estimate to design

A site assessment, load review and written equipment proposal are necessary before choosing a system. Check backup needs, roof integrity, electrical safety and the current rules with the relevant qualified professionals.

Put the assumptions to work
